Announcing Twittle - A Flash Lite Twitter Client and Server API

We were motivated to build a social networking application.
For distribution we are looking at Thumplay, GetJar and
Nokia Ovi.
I will be at CTIA in Las Vegas (April 1st-4th) demoing this application and our other projects so feel free to ping me if you want to see it in action.

Public beta of the Distributable Player solution – the ability to distribute mobile apps with the latest Flash Lite runtime

Teaser: Flash Lite GPS with Touch UI on Windows Mobile

Here is what my team at Teleca and I have been working on a Flash Lite GPS app tapping into Google maps. This allows the user to save their current location (in case you are at a restaurant you like but do not have the address), also view local theaters, hotels, etc. Someone from Teleca will be demoing this @ Adobe Max.

This could essentially work on any platform that supports flash lite and has GPS. There is back end work involved in accessing GPS coordinates this currently works on Windows Mobile. We have it running on a AT&T Tilt and Moto Q9.

Eventually I want to add more features (Messaging, Jogging, Turn-by-Turn) plenty of possibilities.

Microsoft has licensed Flash Lite for Windows Mobile

Great news for Flash Lite Developers alot of Windows Mobile devices may soon have Flash Lite running in the browser.

"The two companies are expected to announce Monday that Microsoft has signed a license to use Flash Lite and Reader LE in future Windows Mobile handsets as plug-ins for Internet Explorer Mobile. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, such as what the companies plan to do when Microsoft releases Silverlight for Mobile, a competing technology."

"Eventually, Microsoft expects to support both Flash Lite and Silverlight on its Windows Mobile handsets. "Flash is, for a lot of people, something they've already invested in," Snyder said. Having support for the incumbent while it tries to get Web developers on the Silverlight team makes sense; "it's good to have both," he said. "

I am excited to announce I have accepted a position at Adobe working on their mobile portal solution Flash Cast. I actually started three weeks ago but have been traveling so this is the first time I have sat down to make a post.

For me this is a dream job to work on the latest greatest mobile framework out there.

You Tube Mobile through Flash Lite

I've developed an app that loads You Tube mobile videos into Flash Lite. Dynamically loading in .3gp video from their server.

I think a TV stream, and Cable Channels on Flash Lite enabled phones is just a matter of time.

Flash Lite detection through a xHTML WAP site

I have developed a way to detect if the end users phone is Flash Lite compatible with use of a simple javascript to determine the browser and OS of the phone. Based on this I determine if I should redirect to a page with a Flash lite game download. Cheers!
